Sorin Buga, MD is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope, Duarte, California where he serves as program director for the City of Hope fellowship program in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Buga obtained his medical degree from the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timișoara Romania, graduated from Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center residency program in internal medicine and completed his fellowship in palliative medicine at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He is the City of Hope’s representative on the NCCN Adult Cancer Pain Panel and an active member of several national and international organizations. He has published in the peer review literature and is often invited to speak at scientific meetings. His clinical interests are in pain and symptoms management for oncologic population.
