Dr. Hansen is in his 18th year on faculty in the Geriatrics Division of the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UW SMPH). He became one of the first fulltime hopsitalists at the UW. Dr. Hansen has received a variety of awards including Outstanding Educator in Medicine. He has been published in several leading geriatric journals and is an active member of a variety of University of Wisconsin medical committees. He is a prolific lecturer and has been invited to speak on the topic of Geriatrics to both physician and non-physician groups.
