Dr. Callahan completed her Geriatrics Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she was selected Chief Fellow in 1996, and thereafter joined the school’s faculty. As Medical Director of the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) service, she established a setting providing quality hospital care for geriatric patients and serving as a teaching site to educate students of all disciplines including medicine, nursing, physical therapy and social work. Dr. Callahan’s focus turned in 2006 to the Coffey Geriatrics Ambulatory Care Practice to serve as Administrative Firm Chief and provide consultative and primary care to the community elderly and teach medical students, residents and fellows.
