Dr. Segev’s clinical focus is minimally invasive live donor surgery and incompatible organ transplantation. His research interests include mathematical modeling and optimization and clinical decision-making in older patients with renal failure. Dr. Segev has received numerous awards such as the 2009 Julius Jacobson Promising Investigator Award from the American College of Surgeons, Clinical Scientist Development Award from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and John Merrill Award in Transplantation from the American Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Segev has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and is a reviewer for journals such as New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA. He is also an associate editor for the American Journal of Transplantation, as well as the journal Liver Transplantation.
