Dr. Al-Subu’s clinical interests include acute lung injury, acute respiratory distress syndrome, pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and point-of-care ultrasound. His research focuses on the use of continuous, real-time monitoring technologies in critically ill neonates and children during cardiopulmonary resuscitation with the ultimate goal of translating these findings into clinical studies that will benefit infants and children who suffer from cardiac arrest, both inside and outside hospital settings. As the PICU medical director, Dr. Al-Subu leads quality improvement efforts to develop therapy guidelines. He has received several teaching awards.
